A Little About Christian Author, Sherri Ward

I grew up in Colorado, mostly in the Fort Collins area where I still live with my husband of nearly 50 years. We have three grown sons, and love the times when we can be together with them and their families. I was blessed with a mother who loved books, and she is much of the reason I grew up loving to read and even daring to dream of becoming a writer.

It has been almost 50 years since I accepted Jesus as my Savior. I began writing Three O'Clock following a time of growing weary and rebellious as a Christian. Things had not been working out exactly the way I felt they should in my life, and for a time I struggled and began to backslide. After a few months, I finally realized that nothing was worse than trying to live my life in rebellion toward the God who loved me. I woke up and turned back to Him. I was amazed at God's grace toward me after that wayward time in my life. Not only did He forgive me completely, but He began to show up in my life in very unexpected ways. Giving me inspiration for Christian writing is one of them, and I have written Three O'Clock in obedience to His call. I understand that being a Christian isn't always easy, and sometimes we struggle in our faith and may lose hope and feel like giving up. If you read Three O'Clock I hope it will help you find truth and encouragement for your own life.

After Three O'Clock was published in early 2015, I turned my attention to other possibilities. I had written Dusty Dreams in a series as part of an online weekly Friday Fiction blogging event before I had even begun to write Three O'Clock. I had enjoyed writing Dusty Dreams so I decided to work on it next, and published it in the fall of 2016.

Again, it was time to begin the next book. The Truth About Marty began as a short story for that same blog and Friday Fiction. I had received encouraging comments on it, and so I decided to explore working it into a novel. It took a few years, but finally it is published as well, and I have to say that I am pleased with the way it turned out.

My belief is that Christians all have a special something God has for them to do. He is our Creator, and He has a special plan and purpose for each one of His unique children. When we seek Him wholeheartedly, He reveals the plan to us, but often slowly, and we find it as we follow Him step by step. Writing from a Christian perspective is my own life of faith and obedience to Him. I hope you are moving forward in your own divinely inspired vision as well.
