I grew up in Colorado where I still live in the Fort Collins area with my husband of forty years. We have three wonderful grown sons, and we love spending time with them and their families. I love our family time when we can all be together. Our daughters-in-law are delightful, and we dote on our beautiful grandchildren! One of our favorite things to do is hiking in the beautiful Rocky Mountains!
I was blessed with a mother who loved books, and she is the reason I grew up loving to read and even daring to dream of becoming a writer. I still remember when she read to us before we could read for ourselves.
It has been over 40 years since I accepted Jesus as my Savior. Over the years I have developed an interest in Christian writing, and I especially enjoy creating fiction with a message. For a time I was part of an online Christian writing community, and I have done some blogging, but eventually my writing priority became finishing one project, Three O'Clock. I began writing it following a time of growing weary and rebellious as a Christian. Things had not been working out exactly the way I felt they should in my life, and for a time I struggled and began to backslide. After a few months, I finally realized that nothing was worse than trying to live my life in rebellion toward the God who loved me. I woke up and turned back to Him. I was amazed at God's grace toward me after that wayward time in my life. Not only did He forgive me completely, but He began to show up in my life in very unexpected ways. Giving me inspiration for Christian writing is one of them, and I have written Three O'Clock in obedience to His call. I do understand that being a Christian isn't always easy, and sometimes we struggle in our faith and may lose hope and feel like giving up. If you read my book I hope it will help you find truth and encouragement for your own life. You are special to the God who created you, and I believe with all my heart that He wants you to know that.
After Three O'Clock was published in early 2015, I turned my attention to other possibilities. I had written Dusty Dreams in a series as part of an online weekly Friday Fiction blogging event before I had even begun to write Three O'Clock. I had enjoyed writing Dusty Dreams so much that I decided to work on it and see if I could get it published as well. I did that in the fall of 2016.
I do have a few hobbies - paper crafting and graphic design primarily. A few years ago I opened a shop on Etsy, and have sold a variety of digital downloads there. The items I have listed for sale are mostly printable background papers for scrapbooking, card making and any sort of paper crafting, as well as printable planners and calendars. Graphic design is fun, and I really love making my own greeting cards and what not. Have a look at my digital printable papers shop on Etsy if you like. Butterfly Feet Digital on Etsy
